Every year since 1999, the ColemanVision Tennis Championships has brought the next generation of Women's Grand Slam tennis players to New Mexico to compete in what the USTA has rated as one of the top 5 best tournaments in the nation. Strategically hosted each fall just 3 weeks after the conclusion of the U.S. Open, our tournament consistently attracts exceptionally talented, high profile players from over 30 countries around the world, resulting in a rich international blend of families, coaches, and smiling fans right here in Albuquerque.

Singles Qualifying matches begin on Sunday, September 16th at 10:00 a.m. Other events that day include; Middle School Tennis League Clinics, Sponsors/Patrons Doubles Clinic, and Junior Pro/Am Event.  Weekday events feature a lively Pro-Am Doubles night where local sponsors play with professionals, a Junior Excellence Clinic, and a Players Party and Auction with special guest Tracy Austin. The weekend concludes with semifinal play in both singles and doubles on Saturday and then Sunday's championship round and awards ceremony on the stadium court

In addition to what promises to be an action-packed week, we are extremely proud to have the New Mexico Youth Tennis Foundation as the recipent of this year's charitable proceeds. A newly formed NM nonprofit corporation dedicated to making tennis accessible to all New Mexico children. Through the ColemanVision Tennis Championships and our funraising efforts, we support "...education and opportunity through tennis".

Tracy Austin is a two-time US Open Champion, Wimbledon mixed doubles champion, and former World No.1 on the WTA Tour. She has represented the United States on both the Fed Cup and Wightman Cup teams which won the competitions. She battled the lengendary Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova at the height of their careers, launching her own career by winning the first tournament she ever entered as a pro.

Austin is a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame which recognized her extraordinary accomplishments: the youngest player (at age 16) ever--male or female--to win a Grand Slam singles tennis title and youngest to achieve a world No.1 ranking.

A mother of three boys under 10, Austin uses Cardio Tennis as her primary fitness and tennis resource-- a resounding endorsement for Cardio Tennis, which fits the busy schedule of a former professional athlete turned broadcaster and parent.
